Family Visit Visa Extension Rules:

  • Valid Until: Represents last date to enter KSA.
  • Single-Entry Visa: Initially 30 days, extendable 8 times up to 270 days via Absher.
  • Multiple-Entry Visa: Initially 90 days, not extendable.
  • Application Period: 7 days before to 3 days after visa expiry.
  • Extension Despite Expired Iqama: Possible.

Step 2: Pay Extension Fee

  • Pay SR 100 extension fee.

  • Navigate to “Family Members” > “Extend Visit Visa”.

Step 4: Extend Multiple-Entry Visa

  • Use Tawasul service for extension request.

Step 5: Check Extension Status

  • Log in to Absher.
  • Access “Tawasul” service under “My Services”.
  • Inquire for extension request status.
  • If rejected, address reasons and reapply.

Extension Through Bahrain/Jordan:

  • Single-entry visa allows one entry.
  • Multiple-entry visa allows multiple entries until validity.
  • Impossible to extend multiple-entry visa after 365 days.
  • Option: Exit and re-enter via Bahrain or Jordan borders for another 90-day stay.

Example: Visa holder entering by March 6th can stay until June 6th, extending stay for another 90 days.
