Frequently asked questions

Your route depends on why you are travelling, how long you intend to stay and whether you will work. A visit permission is not permission to work. Start with our visa checklist, then confirm the live conditions before booking travel.
No. Do not travel on a visitor route intending to work. Lawful employment requires the correct immigration status and employer-led work and residence procedures. Ask the employer to confirm the route in writing before you travel.
GOV.UK currently states that a full British citizen passport must expire at least six months after arrival. Check that it is undamaged and that the details match your visa application. Other nationalities and passport types should check the rules that apply to them.
The list varies by visa, profession, employer and receiving authority. It may include passport evidence, employment records, qualifications and a medical report. Use the route-specific checklist and wait for the receiving authority to confirm what must be translated or legalised.
An apostille is issued by the UK Legalisation Office after it checks an eligible document's signature, stamp or seal. The Saudi organisation receiving the document must confirm whether it needs an original, certified copy, paper apostille or eligible e-Apostille.
Check the FCDO's Saudi Arabia travel advice before booking and again shortly before travel. It covers regional warnings, entry rules, health, safety and local laws. Advice can change quickly, and travelling against official advice may affect insurance or booking arrangements.
On the standard employment route, the employer normally handles the employer-side work permit and residence process. Confirm who is responsible for the Iqama, insurance, medical checks, dependant sponsorship and each cost before accepting the move.
Yes. HRSD says employees can approve, reject or request an amendment to a contract through Qiwa Individuals. Check the employer, job title, location, salary, allowances, benefits, duration, probation and notice terms against the offer you accepted.
Family residence and family visit are different routes with different eligibility and evidence. A family visit visa does not create residence or work rights. Check the sponsor's eligibility, relationship evidence, insurance and live application requirements before anyone travels.
Confirm the issued visa, sponsor duties, insurance start date, medical and document requirements, temporary accommodation and arrival arrangements. Keep secure copies of passports, visas, contracts and legalised documents. Check customs restrictions before packing or shipping anything.
There is no UK-Saudi reciprocal healthcare agreement. Ask for the policy wording and check the provider network, exclusions, limits, approvals and cover for each dependant before treatment. Do not assume every hospital or medicine is included.
Most expatriate residents need a valid Iqama plus Saudi and home-country address details. Banks also apply identity and compliance checks and may ask for more evidence. A visa alone does not guarantee that an account will be opened.

Use the official Ejar framework. Review the property, parties, rent, payment schedule, deposit, maintenance, utilities, renewal and termination terms before accepting. Record the property's condition at handover and avoid relying only on an informal side agreement.
No. UK2KSA is an independent support provider. We can help you identify a route, organise information and prepare documents, but only the relevant authority can issue, refuse, amend or cancel a visa, permit, legalisation or other official record. We never guarantee an outcome.
