Reporting a Lost Birth Certificate via Absher: Step-by-Step Guide

Reporting Procedure:
Create Absher Account:
- If you don’t have an Absher account, register for one. Refer to the link “How to register for Absher?” for detailed instructions.
Login to Absher:
- Use your userID or Iqama number, password, and captcha code.
- Enter the authentication code sent to your mobile number via SMS.
Access Reporting Section:
- Click on the “Services” button under the “My Services” tab.
Select Civil Affairs:
- Choose the “Civil Affairs” option from the available icons.
Report Missing Documents:
- Select the “report missing documents” tab.
Choose Birth Certificate:
- Opt for reporting a lost or missing birth certificate.
Select Dependent:
- If reporting your own birth certificate, click on the designated option.
Provide Details:
- Input information regarding the loss, including circumstances and date.
- Confirm your commitment to safeguarding national documents and abiding by Civil Affairs Law.
Confirmation:
- Review the submitted information and affirm its accuracy.
Finalization:
- Upon confirmation, the system registers your lost birth certificate as “MISSING”.
Duplicate Certificate:
- Visit the Ahwal e Madani office if the birth certificate was issued by Saudi Arabia, to obtain a duplicate copy for documentation purposes.
